Donna G. Paul  grew up in upstate New York and summered on Lake George. In spite of being an honor's English student, she didn't dream of becoming a writer. On June 17, 2004, Donna received a phone call that altered the entire direction of her life. She received her first phone call from the 38-year-old son she’d given up for adoption in 1966. His greeting was “Hi Mom, it’s Joel. I’ve looked for you my whole life.”  The book “A Song in Every Silence” is a poignant must-read memoir of hope.  www.donnagpaul.com

James R. Callan had a degree in English and intended to write, but writing would not support a family. So he entered a mathematics Ph.D. program. Once the kids were on their own, he returned to his writing. Jim served as director of the NETWO annual writers' conference, as editor for the anthology “A Treasure Box” and helped establish the Trails Country Center for the Arts, now The Winnsboro Center for the Arts.  www.jamesrcallan.com
