Dr. John Deaton
will be at the library on Friday, July 20th to sign copies of his new book,
"The death of Maria Chavarria". Come out to visit Dr. Deaton as he
visits Pittsburg friends.
FREE Basic
computer classes (funded by Capital One Grants) will be on Thursday at 5:00 pm
and Friday at 2:00 pm this week. Come out to receive help in using the
computer.
The Friends of the Library are selling tickets for a
fundraiser through the end of the month for the drawing for a Kindle Fire
donated by Capital One Bank. Tickets are
$5.00 each and the drawing is in August. Proceeds will go toward special
projects at the Public Library.
We need a bilingual person to volunteer 2 to 4 hours
each week to help translate. We need it to be on the same day each week, so
customers know when they can come in and have help in both English and Spanish.
