Library Corner By Lily Marshall
The end of the school year is drawing near. My kids are excited and the teachers are too! I think teachers need the summer off to recoup. Teachers are not paid enough in my opinion. They deal with hundreds of kids a day, including mine, and they are a positive influence in a child's life. So, with the school year ending, the Library is getting ready for Summer Programs. We will post our programs in the Gazette, on Facebook, and our Blog, so stay tuned!

The OVERDRIVE E-Book and Audiobook service is here!
The Library added Overdrive eBooks AND audio books to its collection in December as part of the Northeast Texas Libraries Digital Consortium.
This project was made possible in part by the Institute of Museum and Library Services Grant Number 475-15015 and the Texas State Library and Archives Commission (Impact Grant).
If you are familiar with #Overdrive and would like to start using the system, use the same library number and PIN that you use for your online account.
If you are not familiar with Overdrive, we will be having #classes in January. In the meantime, there is a good help section on the site, so just click the 'Help' question mark!
Type in and choose Pittsburg Camp County Public Library, as this is a shared collection among Northeast Texas Libraries. Every title that each library adds to the shared collection, is available to you!
You are allowed 5 checkouts at a time, but most do not allow early return, so if you put something on reserve, leave one of your available checkouts open, so that when it is available, you can get it. You will be emailed when the reserved title is available and you have a limited number of days to confirm.

18 Ways The Public Library Can Help Save You Money
The Public Library has many things to offer the community and there are many people in our communities who still do not know what many of those services are. While we don't offer 2. Tax Assistance, there is another organization in town that does. We don't offer 7. Makerspaces - yet! We don't offer 8. Meeting Rooms (as in private meeting rooms), because we used the room to expand 18. Genealogy Services and offer 3. Workshops/Learning Classes such as GED, ESL, Family Literacy, and soon Financial Literacy. We do, however, offer small areas in the library for one-on-one meetings.
Some of our many services offered are explained in this article. Why not check it out now? Find out what you have been missing!
