BACK OPEN FOR BUSINESS!!

We are OPEN FOR BUSINESS as of Friday, January 23, 2009! We are so excited. Thanks to Tocker Foundation grants, and many very generous local people, we finally have new carpet, shelving, furniture and paint. YAY! The library looks great! Thank you for your patience during this time.

GOT E-BOOKS? Yes, we do!

The OVERDRIVE E-Book and Audiobook service is here! The Library added Overdrive eBooks AND audio books to its collection in December as part of the Northeast Texas Libraries Digital Consortium. Overdrive offers many popular authors and titles! This project was made possible in part by the Institute of Museum and Library Services Grant Number 475-15015 and the Texas State Library and Archives Commission. If you are familiar with #Overdrive and would like to start using the system, use the same library number and PIN that you use for your online account. If you are not familiar with Overdrive, we will be having #classes in January.

The Freading E-Book service is here. Freading offers over 40,000 ebook titles. There are not as many popular authors, but lots of older titles you may not find other places.

The EBSCO ebook service is here. The Pittsburg Library has a collection of ebooks available through EBSCO that can be read online and are available to download to your device. The Library is adding to this collection. Check it out!

Project Gutenberg ebooks are here. Project Gutenberg E-Books and Downloadable Audios: Classics, Mysteries, Westerns offer free ebooks to download to your PC, Kindle, Android, iOS or other protable device. Choose between ePub, Kindle, HTML and simple text formats.
