Library Corner 9/24/2009

The Friends of the Pittsburg-Camp County Public Library will host the second annual 5K Fun Run, Walk or Crawl on Saturday, September 26, 2009. The race begins at 8:00 a.m., check in time is 7:30 a.m. Entry fees are $15.00 per person in advance, $20.00 on race day. The race will be held at the City Park, across from Pittsburg High School, 300 Texas Street. First, second and third place awards will be given in each age group. One hundred (100) t-shirts are available at check-in on a first-come, first-serve basis. Pre-registration deadline is Thursday, September 24, 2009 at 5:00 p.m. at the Pittsburg Camp County Public Library, 613 Quitman Street, Pittsburg, Texas 75686. All proceeds will benefit the Pittsburg Camp County Public Library. The Friends of the Library are a support organization, providing summer programs for children and families and other needs not always addressed in the fiscal budget. This summer more than 600 children and adults attended programs provided through the Friends of the Library organization.
