$7 to help purchase a new children's early literacy station

The first night class for free Basic Computer Literacy will begin on Thursday, March 22nd from 5pm – 7pm and end on Thursday, March 29th from 5pm – 7pm. You do NOT need to have any experience on a computer to take this class. If you missed this class earlier, now is your opportunity to attend. Please contact the library at 903-856-3302, or come by and sign up.
The library will also offer a free Introduction to Facebook on Saturday March 31st from 10am – noon. This class will cover the basics of using Facebook and you MUST have some basic knowledge of and experience using a computer. You MUST already have an email account and know how to use it to take the Introduction to Facebook class. These classes are made available FREE to the public through a Capital One Grant.

The library received an Early Literacy Station Computer for the children’s room through a grant. This unit is used extensively by children and families and is very helpful for those with learning disabilities as well. We would love to add another unit. The cost of a similar learning unit would be $700. This amount does not seem like so much if 100 people could each donate $7. If you would like to donate to this project, please contact the library.
