The website http://scifun.chem.wisc.edu/chemweek/fallcolr/fallcolr.html states: “Every autumn across the Northern Hemisphere, diminishing daylight hours and falling temperatures induce trees to prepare for winter. In these preparations, they shed billions of tons of leaves. In certain regions, such as our own, the shedding of leaves is preceded by a spectacular color show.” Check out their great website for LOTS of information.

I don’t know about you, but I love autumn.  I am blessed every morning as I drive by the Primary School campus on Broach Street. The trees are a beautiful canvas of gold and reds. I love the reds most, just partial I guess. My grandmother Alice Bynum loved bright colors. She was special to me and she loved me ‘just as I am’. Everybody needs somebody like that. Some people do not know how to be happy and thankful. Maybe they never had someone like her in their life. I wish they had because there is no other feeling like it. There is always wonder and beauty to behold. All you have to do is look… and be thankful.
