                                              Murder With Macaroni And Cheese
                                                                   By A.L. Herbert

This month my review is over the book "Murder with Macaroni and Cheese" by A.L. Herbert. This book is about a restaurant owner, named Mahaila who has an interest in detective work. In this book she is preparing for a class reunion. Although her high school years were not great, they were not bad either. But the class reunion means dealing with some people that she was hoping to forget. The main bully from her high school days approaches her about using her venue for the get together. As the time approaches, old feelings resurface for a lot of the reunion attendees, but for one the sense of nostalgia ends in murder. Now Mahalia feels that she must get to the end of the mystery and see who really had not let old bygones be bygones. The story started off kind of slow to me but the delicious recipes sprinkled throughout the story made me press on, lol. In the end I thoroughly enjoyed the story and I am now back tracking to read the first book, "Murder with Chicken and Waffles"...yummy! :)

                                                                  Library Corner by Lily Marshall

Did you know that March is declared as Women's History Month? By 1986, 14 states had declared March as Women's History Month. In 1987, after being petitioned by the National Women's History Project, Congress passed Pub. L. 100-9, which designated the month of March 1987 as Women's History Month. This month commemorates and encourages the study, observance, and celebration of the vital role of women in American history.

The Story

Thank you so much for taking time out to read about our Pittsburg Camp County Public Library Book Drive! Pittsburg Camp County Public Library is a place that many of our children go to travel to other worlds, get lost in fantasy and adventure, find new friends in the pages, and have a safe place to grow their minds!  A lot of times my parents could not take my four siblings and I out to eat or to the arcade or places that cost money to play! We had outside, going to the park, and the LIBRARY. The library became our second home throughout the years and a place that I will always hold dear to me!

I  have had this project on my heart for awhile! I finally decided after talking with Lily Marshall, the Director of the Pittsburg Public Library, that this was a project I wanted to take on to make a difference in our community. Usborne Books are children's books that often include sensory skills, fine and gross motor skills, and stretch a child's brain in places they normally haven't awoken yet. How awesome would it be to fill our Public Library with these books and let children have access to them everyday?

What will my donation go towards?100% of donations go towards encyclopedias, homework helpers in all subjects, AR books, and high quality book collections for all ages from babies to teenager level at our Pittsburg Public Library!! Usborne Books & More has a matching grant to support all donations for this cause with 50% more in books. With this matching grant, your donation will provide 150% in books! Our goal is to reach $1000 in donations and offer our Pittsburg Camp County Public Library $1500 to cover all age levels of brand new, high quality educational books  for our children and teenagers!

Donate! Pittsburg's Library Book Drive, fill their shelves!
