Book Title: The Wedding Guest
Author: Jonathan Kellerman

Review: This book was a departure from my "normal" choices, but I enjoyed it! It is a mystery but not too much of a "thriller", more of a good "who-dun-it". Friends Milo & Alex work together to solve murder cases that aren't cut & dry. Milo is a LAPD officer, Alex is a psychologist. Together, their expertise makes a perfect pair. In this book, they have to solve a murder that takes place at a "themed" wedding reception. They chase a few rabbit trails & distractions, but when a new murder takes place, the pieces begin to come together. Will they figure it out in time to save the most recent victim? Read it to find out :).

Ewe Pet Petting Zoo Monday June 23rd from 10am until 11am

Ewe Pet will present their petting zoo at the 
Pittsburg Camp County Public Library on 
Monday, June 23rd from 10am until 11am as 
part of the library's summer program schedule. 
Come and enjoy the opportunity to interact 
with a variety of animals (may include sheep, 
goats, chickens, ducks, rabbits, bunnies, 
mini pot bellied pigs, miniature horses, giant 
tortoises, etc.) There will also be drawings for 
school supply packs at this event and 
refreshments will be provided. This is an outdoor
 event and everyone is welcome to attend. 
This program is made possible by funding from 
the Friends of the Library and Cypress Bank.

Oh My! How much fun this morning! What a great SUMMER READING CLUB KICKOFF PARTY! The High School Robotics Team presented their robots and projects to our kiddos, as well as Science Teacher Peggy Schneider and her students set up hands on science experiments at 4 different stations outside. They brought microscopes that allowed those attending to look through the microscope at everyday things (spider, ant, grass). Refreshments were provided by DeJa Vu Consignments. It's been a GREAT DAY AT THE PUBLIC LIBRARY !

Saturday, May 18th at 10 a.m. is our DIG INTO READING summer reading program kickoff event. Reps from Caldwell Zoo in Tyler will be on hand to educate us on animals that dig. Join our summer reading program and be eligible to win great prizes throughout the summer!

Winter Days Are Great For Reading

Wow! It has been a busy January at the library. We are so glad you use this wonderful resource called the Pittsburg Camp County Public Library. Besides helping our customers find new reads, we have been working on a terrific summer of activities for the kids. For the first time in several years, we will have a formal Summer Reading Club, along with our paid performers and story times. While we have always encouraged reading through the summer, we did not have a formal program. We are so excited about starting the Summer Reading club again.

Free computer classes this week; new materials in the collection

The free computer class on Friday afternoon, May 18^th from 2pm to 4pm will be “Introduction to Computer Basics and Email”. Saturday morning’s class from 10am until noon will be “Technology Question and Answer” where you can receive help with questions you may have about any type of computer technology.  Thursday evening, May 24^th will be “E-books”. Learn to access and download electronic books onto your computer or other device. These free classes are offered through a grant from Capital One.
