Library Corner

There is not a program this week, but mark your calendars to come to the Luau at the Public Library on August 6th at 10:00 a.m. This program will include stories, crafts, snacks and drawings for school supplies. To earn extra chances at the drawing, bring non-perishable food items for the local pantries. Bring your children for a traditional story time.

Pittsburg Library Corner 7/23/2009

There is going to be a mini State Fair at the Public Library on Friday, July 24th at 3:30 p.m. This program will include stories, State Fair type game booths outside, and drawings for school supplies. Library Corner

The Library will host its next summer program Friday, July 17th at 1:00 p.m. This program is sponsored by the Camp County Extension Office and will include a Cotton Gin Demonstration and Show Animals from 4H participants. Most of this program will be outdoors and we will be in the shade as much as possible. Bring your canned goods for the local food pantry for extra chances to win in the drawing for school supplies. So far we have collected 110 pounds of food donations.

Library Corner 7/9/2009

Mark your calendars for Thursday, July 9th at 1:00 p.m. to see David Slick Jugglers at the public library. The best juggler in Dallas will present his professional stage show. We had our largest crowd ever for our first show, so be sure to come early for the best seats. Public computers will not be available during the performances this year. The computers will be available as soon as the performances are complete.

Thanks to the generosity of the community we are able to have more school supply giveaways that originally thought. Be sure to get your ticket when you come to the show for the drawing. Bring canned goods and non-perishable items for the local food pantry to get extra chances to win.
