At some point during my lifetime, the teaching of manners seems to have been lost. There are basic ideas we want to teach our children when we are trying to instill good manners: simple kindness, consideration, and common sense. Check this info from the Child Development Institute. Under the manners section there are home manners, telephone manners, table manners, guest manners, street or public manners. Under the socialization section there are social milestones, group play, inappropriate language and inappropriate actions. Go to: http://www.childdevelopmentinfo.com/parenting/manners.shtml
