Remember to register early for the Friends of the Library’s Annual 5K Fun Run


Remember to register early for the Friends of the Library’s Annual 5K Fun Run Walk or Crawl Event on Saturday, September 20th at 8am. You will save $5 per entry by registering early. Mail it in or drop it by the library today. Early registration is $20 and it is $25 on race day. Bring the family; we would love to see you there. There will be trophies, medals, and lots of prizes too. Forms are available at the library and online at pccpl.blogspot.com.

Friends of the Library Fundraiser Bicycle Winners Announced

Congratulations to the winner of the Girl's Bicycle in the Friends of the Library Fundraiser! Bridney and Janesol Cardenas, daughters of Olivia Alvarez, pick up the girls bike won by their baby sister Brisa Cardenas. A big thank you to Harrel's Plumbing for donating the girl's bicycle for the fundraiser!

Master Gardeners to present program at Public Library


                This week: July 12th 10am: Master Gardeners program for K-2nd graders (Free)
                                 July 12th  5pm: Free computer literacy classes thru Capital One Grant
                                 July 13th  2pm: Free computer literacy classes thru Capital One Grant

             The Master Gardeners will present a program to K-2nd graders about planting seeds to raise your own plants. The program will be Thursday morning, July 12th, at 10 a.m.
The Friends of the Library are selling tickets for a fundraiser through the end of the month for the drawing for a Kindle Fire donated by Capital One Bank.  Tickets are $5.00 each and the drawing is in August. Proceeds will go toward special projects at the Public Library.

We are bursting with activities this month!


Do you know that the library is bursting with free activities this month? Starting Thursday at 10am, the Living Green Baptist Church ladies will read stories to children of all ages. On Thursday afternoon at 2pm, the library is offering Senior Movie Day, with the first movie being “Pajama Game”.  On Friday afternoon, from 2pm until 4pm, the library will offer “E-mail Essentials” as the free computer class through our Capital One Grant. There is much more for June. Check the newspaper weekly and come by the library to pick up a schedule of events today. You do not want to miss any of our special programs this summer.
