FIRST FRIDAY Local Authors Book Signing
Pittsburg Library, Friday, June 1st 10 am til noon

Bill Keith, is a writing/journalism graduate. He was a war correspondent in Vietnam, had assignments in Tokyo, West Berlin and the Philippines.  He was  an investigative reporter, city editor and editor of three newspapers in Louisiana and Texas and served in the Louisiana State Senate representing the City of Shreveport.  www.billkeithbooks.com

James R. Olson was first published in 1973. He won the Border Regional Library Association fiction award for literary excellence and enriching the cultural heritage of the Southwest, The Evelyn Oppenheimer "Oppie" for best historical novel of the year, and the Council for Wisconsin Writers best novel of the year. His book-length fiction covers both historical fiction and police action thrillers .  www.booksbyolson.com

Donna G. Paul  grew up in upstate New York and summered on Lake George. In spite of being an honor's English student, she didn't dream of becoming a writer. On June 17, 2004, Donna received a phone call that altered the entire direction of her life. She received her first phone call from the 38-year-old son she’d given up for adoption in 1966. His greeting was “Hi Mom, it’s Joel. I’ve looked for you my whole life.”  The book “A Song in Every Silence” is a poignant must-read memoir of hope.  www.donnagpaul.com

James R. Callan had a degree in English and intended to write, but writing would not support a family. So he entered a mathematics Ph.D. program. Once the kids were on their own, he returned to his writing. Jim served as director of the NETWO annual writers' conference, as editor for the anthology “A Treasure Box” and helped establish the Trails Country Center for the Arts, now The Winnsboro Center for the Arts.  www.jamesrcallan.com
